movies, math, and other mischief.

\begin{document}

I hate my math class that's forcing me to learn LaTEX. It's cool, yeah, but I can't catch my breath in there!

I love the new Friday night lineup. First, I have all my icky classes. Then, afterwards, it's party time! I've been watching movies with my good pals Sean and Kelsey. Plus we do other things. We have pillow fights. Gaze at next gen graphics. etc. It's rad! You should come and join if you can. I wonder what we'll see this week. Last two weekends we've seen Scary Movie 3, Kung Fu Hustle, Ray, and Mullholland Dr. All pretty good stuff. This is fun. I hope we can do this for a while.

Also, if anybody can explain Mullholland Dr. to me, I'd really appreciate it. I've done a bit of research, and I hope that there's more it than the standard copout that they usually say they think it is. I had an idea, but then I could always find a counter to it. Grr.

My mom told me about this new "Farce of the Penguins" movie coming on DVD. It's (most of) the footage from "March of the Penguins" but a bunch of comedians and comediennes redubbed it. So now it's about two friends looking for some action in the middle of the Antarctic. It's rated R and for good reason.

Oh! I almost forgot. When I saw "Ray" I realized that the guy who plays Ray's manager in the second half of the film is the guy who plays the math guy on NUMB3RS. I remember one time on some talk show he talked about how he was at a convention for Math teachers and he was inquired to partake in a "trinomial expansion" if you know what I mean. haha. good stuff.

I'm sleepy.

Snow Day

I forgot how good it felt to just run around and wait for the snow to fall on your cheeks. Well, I tried to catch it on my tongue but the snow refused. Dang, it hasn't snowed like that in a long time down here. Last time I can even remember there being ANY resemblence of snow was back in '02. Everyone hanging outside Mr. Colville's portable (where the infamous cat lived) not wanting to go back inside and have our Western Civ lecture, just staring at the clouds like deer at headlights. Man, I could've stayed outside for hours today. But I had duties to attend to, mashing potatoes, finding the camera, keeping track of the football games (It's gonna be Bears and Colts in the Super Bowl!) When I went to go wipe the stuff off the windshield, oh man, I just felt a bunch of emotions I hadn't felt in a while. I can't remember a time when I've been so giddy. I must've been like 8 years old for a couple of hours. I went and grabbed a shoebox and shoved a bunch of snow in there and put it in the freezer and in black Sharpie just wrote SNOW all over it. Damn, today was one of those days when you look at the clouds and you think, you know that God has to exist. And maybe it's just that I'm not used to it, people from Northeast probably think this is nothing, but I don't care. It was perfect. It was beautiful. It was my snow day.
