Snow Day
I forgot how good it felt to just run around and wait for the snow to fall on your cheeks. Well, I tried to catch it on my tongue but the snow refused. Dang, it hasn't snowed like that in a long time down here. Last time I can even remember there being ANY resemblence of snow was back in '02. Everyone hanging outside Mr. Colville's portable (where the infamous cat lived) not wanting to go back inside and have our Western Civ lecture, just staring at the clouds like deer at headlights. Man, I could've stayed outside for hours today. But I had duties to attend to, mashing potatoes, finding the camera, keeping track of the football games (It's gonna be Bears and Colts in the Super Bowl!) When I went to go wipe the stuff off the windshield, oh man, I just felt a bunch of emotions I hadn't felt in a while. I can't remember a time when I've been so giddy. I must've been like 8 years old for a couple of hours. I went and grabbed a shoebox and shoved a bunch of snow in there and put it in the freezer and in black Sharpie just wrote SNOW all over it. Damn, today was one of those days when you look at the clouds and you think, you know that God has to exist. And maybe it's just that I'm not used to it, people from Northeast probably think this is nothing, but I don't care. It was perfect. It was beautiful. It was my snow day.
