The perfect ending
I should be asleep right now, but I just had an epiphany.
Long story short, I haven't had the time or energy or inspiration to write as much as I used to, especially like in high school. I began writing an epic (read: long) poem/story in 11th grade. I barreled through three parts but then left it alone. I was able to come back to it in 2007 when I was in Berkeley, but left it completely open.
I just figured out how to end it. But here's the catch: I promised myself I wouldn't write it until the events in the poem materialized. As a note to myself, without giving too much away, this is an idea for the layout:
Part 1. I'm riding in a taxi, heading towards the subway.
Part 2. I get out of the taxi. I walk around.
Part 3. I go into the subway. I see lovers hold hands.
Part 4. I get philosophical. I see lovers making out.
Part 5. I meet a girl. We make out. We get philosophical.
Part 6. We hold hands. I get off the subway.
Part 7. I walk around. I get into my taxicab.
Part 8. I pick up a passenger. I drive him/her to the subway.
That passenger is my child.
