Sometimes I wonder if going to grad school is the most selfish thing I could have done. Had I just got an Engineering job, my family wouldn't be in this mess.

These are the chronicles of "Mitchy" Wilson. This is a place where I store stuff, like thoughts and ideas, though the frequency here has greatly dwindled. I have a awesome job and amazing friends, and yet something is always missing. I am still a virgin.

Interesting idea, as I've thought the same about myself. I'll open the thread to conversation/discussion on this.
If you study selfishness, the question arises: what's wrong with being selfish?
Should one suffer to enrich others? Would this construct a functional set of morals? Perhaps being selfish is the way we can truly make progress on ourselves to be able to help others.
Perhaps being selfish is the only way to escape the societal conditioning and truly be ourselves, to offer our gifts to mankind.
