Still have a little time to figure out this whole college thing
On one hand, it's cool that my mom works in Human Reources. After all, she can tell what kind of person you are based on your careers and histories. On the other hand, it sucks that my mom works in Human Resources. After all, she can tell what kind of person you are based in your careers and histories.
So with my AP scores now a reality, I have to review my choices at a degree, again. Now, I like my current idea (The BS in Mech ENG and the quad minors in Span, Psych, Econ, and Math) but MOm says that she sees that as me being an indecisive person. For that I have only two words: Well, DUH! So she's all lecturing me on how my resume can't look like a hobby list. And, to an extent, I understand. But I really like my idea, and since my AP dreams came true, it is theoretically doable. SO I've been looking through the catalogs again, and I found a couple alternatives that don't mess up my schedule too much too much.
Option 1: The original
Major(s): BS in Mech Eng
Minor(s): Spanish, Math, Psych, Econ
Option2: The most professional looking one
Major(s): BS in Mech Eng and BS in Math (Prob/Stats)
Minor(s): Spanish
Option3: A somewhat compromise between #1 and #2
Major(s): BS in Engineering Mathematics (with an emphasis on Mech Eng)
Minor(s): Spanish, Econ, Psych
Option4: The nerdy one
Major(s): BS in Mech Eng and BS in AEro Eng
Minor(s): Math
Option5: The turnaround
Major(s): BS in Math (Econ/Finance)
Minor(s): Econ, Mech Eng
But that's just the beginning. In a way, it'd be nice if college was a little more like UHS. More manadted classes, but you have some flexibility to work with if you're lucky. I just don't like the whole you-decide what major and classes stuff. Cuz I'm an indecisive person.

I need to go physically talk with the math department, cuz I'd need to do so to either amend or add a major. For the meantime, the BS in Math ENG seems really cool, cuz it's like the best of both. I could even get a minor in Mech Eng through the curriculum. Then I could get minors in Spanish and Econ rather realistically I think. And maybe take Psych classes over the summer.

The more that I think about it, the more I've decided that I am NOT, in fact, indecisive, but rather that I enjoy learning a wide array or topics and fields. I think it's cool. I mean, I flip thorugh the Pima channels at least every other day to see if there's anything cool on. Just the other day I saw two shows about how to find the inverses of square matrices and also about the shift that art has experienced thorughout the 20th century, and a discussion on wether or not art as we know it is dead. Obviously it's not dead, which is good, but it just goes to show that I think it's cool to learn, and the only thing stopping me from learning all the cool stuff about our perceived universe is time and the limits of the human body to fit within said perceived time period, which makes me sad.
