Back to Basics

Today reminded me that some things don't change, no matter how much you may think. Especially today at the picnic thingy. Pizza will always be too expensive by the slice*, the chess people will still spend time playing chess, and people as a whole remain the same, I mean unless some life altering experience affects their lives. But after all the tests and AP crap we've gone I find myself playing cards with Patrick Dunlop, just like freshymen year. And I know there was some other "full circle" doohickey that happened today, but it passes my thoughts at the time. Oh well. I guess maybe I'm just trying to say that we still are ourselves, and that's a comfort.

My unofficial top 5 for the week or until I do another top 5 list:

5. I Believe in a Thing Called Love by the Darkness
4. Chemical by Start Trouble
3. Reptilia by the Strokes
2. The Reason by Hoobastank
1. Megalomaniac by Incubus

Frankly I'm not sure why I started the whole countdown thing... maybe it just lets you into my noggin a tad more. Maybe that's why my head feels heavier; you're all in there.

Oh, about that chemical song- I just think the chorus is awesome and rational

Love is a chemical
Straight from your genitals
Never is spiritual
Never unconditional
Love is a chemical
Nature is radical
Never is spiritual
It's mathematical

You know, I think I do still like math; I just hate being forced to do it (Alice, do we have an assignment, speaking of math?) When we have to do the multiple choice for hw, I still get that little twinge of excitement that I had back in Mathcounts of days of lore.

Oh, *- but Arizona Pizza Company is possibly the exception. They've got a place next to the Linens n' Things across from Park Mall (Who would want to spend 20 bucks for a cloth they have to use to dry their fanny? Beats me) Anyway, they've got a slice and a fountain drink for 3.50, and it's a big slice! Or maybe the price seems reasonable only because it's next to a 20 dollar towel store.

Well, everyone have a good Spring break, Passover, Easter, or whatever all us crazy people celebrates.

WAIT! Almost forgot. I'm in a bit of a nervous wreck. I know prom is NEXT FRIDAY and Jeanne is out somewhere on the EAST COAST looking at COLLEGES and well what I wanna ask is DOES SHE KNOW IT'S NEXT FRIDAY? and what will we do? Dinner? Is she picking me up? My mom nees to know! Cuz we need to go a tailoring. And what's a corsage? Do I need one? What kind of flowers does she like? What's her favorite color? What's her preferred type of gasoline?! I mean Jeanne and I are just going as friends but I kinda want to do it properly this year so next year we can all be crashers and get drunk at a hotel later and... what I mean of course not.... We'd have orange juice........... that's it.... orange juice..... right......
