Like my middle school, but for taller people

Let me get this out first: I'm not trying to make fun of Palo Verde.

Palo Varde looked like my middle school. I went there today for the ACT. About that later. But the hallways are so different than that of our Rinconian/Penguinese halls. They remind so much of my middle school, with all the tachers having these little inspirational quotes and stuff on their doors, to me it seemed a bit childish. Then I realized we were testing in the freshman wing.

So, the ACT. It's a test, like the SAT, but better. And why, you may ask? 2 words: NO ANALOGIES! The 4 tests were pretty easy; the reading comprehension part was the only thing moderately challenging. It just required you to read FAST! 40 Q's, 35 times 60 seconds.

It is not beneficial to take higher leveled math classes and then take standard tests. There was one problem that almost caught me. It was about traingles. The only things I saw were the words trianle, ratio, and three numbers in a a:b:c format. And of course, naturally I think I'll use the Law of cosines because they're gonna ask for the smallest angle. a^2= b^2 + c^2 - 2bc cos(A) so I do the calculations and voila, the answer is 20, and that's a choice.

Then I actually read the question.

The measures of the angles, not the sides, were a:b:c. So they add to 180 and what's the largest angle.

And I thought they would do something interesting. But the scary thing is that they anticipated me to think the way I did, because my first choice would come out no other way. They're watching me............

The English is pretty easy. Does the comma belong here, there, here and there, here and at the end of the paragraph, or leave it like it is with an emoticon at the end of the paragraph :)

Then they have a science section. No Ap prep needed. Can you understand what a graph represents and how it relates to the experiment?

And that's the whole test. And most colleges will accept it like an SAT score, so if you're worried that 1595 won't get you into that favorite college of yours, then take the ACT. It's a blast

And I saw an old friend from my middle school there. His name's Thomas, or as we used to call him, Tommy. But we didn't talk much cuz he had all of his COOL friends taking the test, too

It was weird, there were only like 20 people there. And they had us all in one room and all the chairs were in little perfect rows except for one stuck in the corner for no reason. And, as luck would have it, fate deemed me the bad kid and had me put in the corner chair.

Gaia has a funny sense of humor, knowing I was the only UHS AP-class taking kid there. It makes me giggle.
