well, I got my driver's permit... again. I let the old one expire.
Although, I must admit, I really like the new touch-screen permit test. It's a lot less intimidating. Maybe that's partially why lots of tests and stuff are now being done on a computer. The best thing was I could skip questions I had no clue on. So of the ones that I answered, I got 'em all right! Hooray for instant gratification!
And now I just have to learn to effing drive. And believe me, it's not on the top of my list. But there comes a time when you just have to suck it up and stop bitching. That time might be now.

Ah, I saw those when I went to get my state ID, which never expires. I don't know when I'll finally get my license, but at least I will always have a valid form of ID now.
They let you skip questions? Seriously? Damn. All those 15 feet or 10 feet type questions stressed me out. Bastards.
well, you can skip them, but you only get 30 questions altogether, so if you miss a couple or skip a lot, you'd have to come back to them.
also, once you get the minimum number correct required, 24/30, the computer doesn't care about your unanswered questions. It just says yay! you passed! now go wait in line for another half an hour!
I also enjoyed the touch screen deal, Mitch.
I've been driving a bit lately and it really hasn't been that bad. Start out just driving in a neighborhood a few times a week until you get the hang of it and then ease your way onto the major streets.
Rock on,
