Rooting for the Losers

So, yeah, we elected for the seniors and the winner is .... drummroll..... BOND PARTY by 10! Here's how it went down (I think):

1. Bond- 43 votes
2 (tie) Delta
Bueler - 33 votes each
4. Jive- 12 votes
5. Mario Party- 7.

I voted for Mario. I don't regret it. I know they didn't oblige in terms of the website and the video, but I loved their platform. When we do this whole procedure next year, I wanna be just like them.

But I think McAndrew was upset. In his long career at UHS, this is only his, like, 2nd loss to Ms. Gray's classes (his parties were Mario and Delta.)

I wonder who the other 6 Mario supporters were. I know Leonore Miller voted, but who else? Hey, it's cool being a part of the minorty.

And now it's time for the MITCHY awards for what I thought of the whole schpeel.

Best advertising: Delta. Jive came in a close second. I loved the butterfly picture and anything about the infamous Connie Harris is worth xtra points. Michael Jackson's "gradual change" deterred me a bit, but overall I thought they best portrayed their theme.

Best video: Jive. Bond a close second. The jive video was so simple, so artistic (I loved the thing with the trains going one way and the person running the other way). They are listening. That was at the end, but they cut it off prematturely in a couple classes I heard. Lacked communication there. The bond video was cool. Clay, the prez, actaully owns that Mercedes or whatever it was, and like 2 other luxury cars. Honorable mention for Bueller for getting all the teachers to boogie.

Best last second effort: Mario all the way. Saying they lost their video due to a loss in transmission, they opted for a 2 minute flash clip "Mario Twins" look around on the internet. You'll find it.

Best Debate appearance: tie between Bond and Delta. The rainbow thingy with the fabric was cool, and the bar scene for Bond was stylistic.

Best debators: Mario. Renee and Kareina and Katrina were very cool, collected, and ready to stake their post and attack others. Too bad they weren't questioned, though. That's the problem with not putting yourself out there enough.

Best Howard Dean actalike award: Bueller. After the shocking claim by Jive that theywere Communist, they lost a lot of support. Before the debates I thought Bueller would win hands down. Afterwards, it was between them and Bond with Delta not too far behind.

Who should've won: Overall, I think Delta should've won. THey put in the most effort.

So now we get to do it next year. Yippee. I wanna be the Mr. T Party
