Heroes in a Half Shell
TURTLE POWER!
Is it bad that we're reminiscing on all the cool stuff we had when we were little while we're still technically little? Is that acceptable teenage behaviior? Cuz at lunch Robyn, Alice and I were just talking about stuff back in the good old days. NES, the old Zelda games, Captain N and the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. (My favorite line of all time pretty much from anywhere has to be from an episode where Mario and Luigi are pretending to be pirates to get inot Koopa's lair, and they pass by a randomly placed saloon with stuff and Luigi goes to get a drink and he says with his utmost masculinity "I'll have a milk" but then all the other troopas are staring at him, so he adds at the last second "In a dirty glass" and that makes him cool) (ok the last two I just thought of) and Mega Man and oh man it was an awesome lunch
So that's what I'm doing online, looking for the TMNT theme song. And the GOOD ONE, mind you. That new, funky, opaque, punkish tune does NADA for me. I just remember the part where Mikey is surfing and he goes PARTY!!!!! I miss that show. I think I have a video tape from a Burger King kids meal with April O' Neal on the cover and she never did anything for me so I'm not sure where it is.
But somedays I just wish I could go back a few thousand school days and be playing Mario Bros. and be arguing with the game that it should've said "An other castle" because I thought I had good English skillz only to say "Another castle" right in my face and winning it 180 times. One time I went through each level, world and section without dying once and then a was a 2 player game so aftre I won my cousin got to play and then he died in the fiurst level.
And then there was Ducktales. I can't find it anywhere, and I don't know what it means that I loved Huey and Dewey and Louie and Launchpad McQuack and the occasional guest star from Donald and that nice old lady who always wore purple and of course Scrooge McDuck. and the baddies and stuff.
It sure beats calculus.
