the week in review

My room roomie is out for the weekend, so I have 100 square feet al to my lonesome. Of course, my other roomies are still here, so I have to share things but that's normal.

...and I just got a leg cramp. Probably from all the walking I have to do since I have to walk a good two blocks to even reach campus. Seriously it takes a good 20-25 minute walk to get from home to my English class, Not that it's "far" (well it is to me) just that it takes a lot of time.

Getting smacked by midterms. Scored a B in my engineering test. If I weren't on a strict schedule and scholarship constraint, I'd be pleased. Screwed up on my math test (The arctan (t^3) was in the freakin denominator! How did I ignore that?!). and struggled thorugh my chem test today. maybe if I learned the names of these stupid comppounds then I could get more points. Well I had a 95% average as of this morning, so we'll just have to see how much I have to work on the next test and, afterwards, the final.

But for the most part this is the good life. Yesterday before chem lab, I got to listen to some mariachi band perfomring by the administartion building. that was refreshing. Then my chem lab only took 2 and a half hours, hooray! Again, I think the impending doom is still approaching, but it's just being more subtle.

If I declare a double major before the end of the spring, I CAN have senior stauts after this spring. Turns out the college of science recognizes 87 or so units as senior status, while the engineering college requires like 98. So coming in with 55 units (plus 3 depending on my English grade) was maybe a good thing, after all.

And I think I've already got my schedule for next fall lined up. 2 Math classes, 1 Engineering, a computer class (EEK!) and the last gen ed class I'd ever have to take. (probably Russian art as a reflection of the economic and political changes in the 20th century- pretty basic stuff.) It's just weird. You come to college thinking you can take all these different classes at your own leisure and here I am trying to figure exactly which classes I have to take up to my 3rd "senior" year
teeheehee. again, not that helps at all with degree expediency. but it sure sounds cool. Gonna have to go talk with my advisor on that. Plus I'd have to take AME 250 Dynamics over the summer, which would be my first summer school EVER!

And, at last, I am alone. PARTY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Happy Birthday Saturday, Dev.

Mitch, you rock on the school shizzle. And a b is a b, which is better than a c. But besides that...we need to party man. know of any shin-digs we can hit up this weekend? Yours sweetly and passionately,
